Horin (Chorin), Aaron ben Kalman
(1766-1844)
   Hungarian Reform leader. He was born in Hranice and became rabbi of Arad in 1789. In 1803 he published Emek ha-Saveh, which attacked those customs he believed had no basis in Judaism. He subsequently put his reforms into practice, and also endeavoured to improve the social and cultural status of Hungarian Jewry.
